From 2016, the company DiaVita sh.p.k, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, offers hemodialysis service in the districts of Shkodra, Lezha, Vlora, Korca and Elbasan. 

Currently, at the Hemodialysis Clinics managed by DiaVita sh.pk, about 400 patients receive services, about 32% of the total number of patients in the country. The company has 120 employees as medical and support staff. 

The great investment made and the good quality of service provided by DiaVita sh.pk during these years, attracted the attention of the prestigious company Diaverum, which decided to buy Diavita in 2019. Founded in 1991, the Sweden-based company has a presence in 24 different countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia, and is a leading global provider in renal care services. 

Currently, 14,000 Diaverum International AB employees care for 41,000 patients in over 469 dialysis clinics worldwide.
